On September 17, 2026 at 8:15 pm, ARTE will premiere THE FLY AGARIC – Between Myth and Science, a documentary by Thomas Grube.

Few mushrooms are as iconic – and as enigmatic – as Amanita muscaria. The film explores the fly agaric at the crossroads of nature and science, myth and medicine, intoxication and ritual, meeting researchers, cultural historians, and practitioners who are helping us understand this extraordinary species in new ways.
