Two young television stars, Sandra Keller and Kerstin Landsman, are shown behind the scenes of soap opera. Admired and loved by millions they are focussing on their roles, trying to cope with stress and are signing autographs. Kerstin Landsmann from Düsseldorf is enjoying her success in soap opera, for which she gave up her chances of ‘A’ levels. For three years she has been playing the moody bitch Kati von Sterneck in the ARD series ‘Forbidden Love’. Sandra Keller was the first girl to become a soap-star. She too dropped her school education at 18 to become the shrewish Tina Zimmermann in the RTL series ‘Good Times – Bad Times’. Financially, it certainly paid off. But after four years Sandra Keller threw the sponge in. The stress of production and of the marketing of her image had worn her out mentally and physically.
Two young actresses are shown in close-up behind the scenes of soap opera. They are seen in their day-to-day work, stressed and signing autographs, coping with bad times and good times.
